Electromechanical VJ

In 2013 I was invited to create a visual accompaniment to the Behaviour live electronic music ensemble  – something Andy Keep oversees at Bath Spa University. The VJ set up was based on physical and electromechanical events triggered by the sounds from the group along with home made analogue video processing devices. Small spy type video cameras enabled large projection for the performances. Here is some documentation of one of the performances at the Seeing Sound 2013 event at Bath Spa.

 

Here are the video processing boxes I made for the project – they ‘cram’ audio and video plus a few other tricks (tupperware boxes from pound land)
